You may have strolled the typical Greek village of Sirince.  Yet have you ever thought of visiting typical Turkish villages and learn about authentical housing, buildings, local foods, lesser know local handicrafts ?
This tour is best organized on a Tuesdays when the weekly market of Tire is being held yet other days are also possible.
We depart from your hotel and drive to the village of Tire.  En-route, if you wish, a short stop at the Mausoleum of Belevi is an option.  In Tire we will visit the market place, the “arasta” (a sort of covered market), a mosque and enjoy a local lunch : the “Tire Kofte” (buttered meat balls on a skewer).  We then proceed to the village of Birgi whe-re we will discover a Konak (typical wooden mansion) and a XIVth century mosque.
This tour is also an opportunity to learn more about those crafts which tend to disappear such as ropes, felt carpets...
