A week to explore some of Greece most important sites...

Both in Turkey and Greece, winters may be cold and summers hot. On the other hand, you will most probably be visiting archaeological sites with more or less walking difficulties. Hence an adapted outfit is recommended :

  • In winter : strong walking shoes, warm coat, umbrella, protection against cold wind (hat, gloves)
  • In summer : strong walking shoes, cotton clothing, sun hat, sun glasses, sun cream
  • When visiting churches and mosques, appropriate dressing

Do not forget !

  • Your daily medication if and when needed while on tour.
  • Your tour voucher, the only proof that you have subscribed and paid for this tour.
  • Cash money to pay the not included entrance fees, drinks and lunch, shopping, tips…
  • Your cameras… Remember that at some sites and museums taking pictures may be forbidden or allowed midst payment of a fee. Inquire about using a flash;
  • Your swimming wear if you jo-in a tour with swimming opportunity.
  • Possibly spare shoes, T-shirts, jumpers, socks

Visiting archaeological site may require good physical conditions and access to people with reduced mobility is not always possible. During visits and stops, the buses will be locked and under the supervision of the driver. Hence, if you wish, you can leave some personal belongings in the bus yet at your own responsibility. If not done at subscription, inform your tour guide as soon as you get on the coach about your specific food requirements so that the restaurant booked for lunch can be informed accordingly in due time.

Day 1 : Athens

On arrival you will be met by our assistant and transferred to your hotel by our taxi driver. Rest of the day at leisure or enjoy an optional tour to Cape Souni-on. Overnight in Athens
 

Day 2 : Athens (B)

Morning sightseeing tour of Athens' most famous sights including a visit to the spectacular Acropolis and the new Acropolis museum. Afternoon at leisure. Overnight in Athens 
 

Day 3 : Olympia (B,D)

Early in the morning, departure for a 4 day classical tour with Meteora. Today visit ancient Mycenae and Epidaurus theatre, famous for its acoustics. Overnight in Olympia. 
 

Day 4 : Delphi (B,D)

Visit the archaeological site of Olympia, the birthplace of the Olympic Games. Overnight in Delphi. 
 

Day 5 : Kalambaka (B,D)

Visit the archaeological site and the museum of Delphi, known in ancient times as the navel of the world. Overnight in Kalambaka.
 

Day 6 : Athens (B)

Leave in the morning for nearby Meteora to visit the Byzantine Monasteries. Return to Athens in the afternoon and overnight. 
 

Day 7 : Athens (B)

Free day in Athens for shopping, strolling through the city discovering its hidden charmsor ask our representative about an optional excursion. Overnight in Athens 
To spend this day of leisure, you may consider to jo-in a cruise to the Saronic islands of Hydra, Poros and Aegina or a morning tour to the Corinth Canal and archaeological site and/or an afternoon tour to Cape Sounio whe-re the temple of Poseidon is waiting for you.
 

Day 8 : Athens (B)

Time at leisure till transfer which will depart from your hotel approx. 3 hours prior to your take-off:

 

- 4 nights accommodation B/B in Athens based on your choice,
- 4 days classical tour in 3* hotels,
- Athens sightseeing tour & Acropolis museum,
- Meals: 7 breakfasts & 3 dinners,
- Entrance fees of guided sightseeing,
