The Soganli Valley and surrounding old Greek villages reveal their churches and monasteries...
From your hotel, we will drive to the Soganli Valley (approx. 45km from Urgup) : settlements from the Roman period, thousands of carved bird aviaries, caves and shelters, churches and monasteries are to be found here. The major churches in the Soganli Valley are the Karabash, Yilanli, Kubbeli and Saint Barbara. For lunch we will head to the village of Mustafapasha also known as Sinassos when it was inhabited by Greek Orthodox families till the early 20th century. Important churches in this vaillage are the Constantine-Elene, St Agios Vasilos, St Basil. Our itinerary will then continue through old villages such as Taskinpasa, Cemil and Keslik. In Taskinpasa we will visit the Madrasah built by the Karamanids and in Cemil, a farming village, we will see people still living in former mansions and some in caves. In Keslik we will visit the monastery complex, the church of the Archangel, the chapel of St Stephen, a huge dining area, living quarters and a pool of sacred water.
This tour is operated every day of the year yet due to unexpected snowy weather or flooding of the valleys it may be cancelled without prior notice.

Both in Turkey and Greece, winters may be cold and summers hot. On the other hand, you will most probably be visiting archaeological sites with more or less walking difficulties. Hence an adapted outfit is recommended :

Visiting archaeological site may require good physical conditions and access to people with reduced mobility is not always possible. During visits and stops, the buses will be locked and under the supervision of the driver. Hence, if you wish, you can leave some personal belongings in the bus yet at your own responsibility. If not done at subscription, inform your tour guide as soon as you get on the coach about your specific food requirements so that the restaurant booked for lunch can be informed accordingly in due time.
