The food prepared by a village chef who serves authentic Turkish home cooking !
This program is organized week 20-27 October 2014.
Each guest of Mandarin has his/her own favourite corner : the beautiful setting, the luxurious guestrooms, the peaceful ambience, the friendly and informal atmosphere but the main common favourite subject is the food prepared by a village chef who serves authentic Turkish home cooking using exclusively fresh produce from the region.
For those of you keen to recreate some of these mouth-watering creations at home, we have decided to open up our kitchen for a special cookery holiday. Our Turkish Cuisine Week will comprise five practical, hands-on demonstrations by Mandarin's chef, with the hotel owner on hand to translate. These cookery lessons will mainly take place in the early afternoons, from Tuesday to Saturday, leaving the whole of Sunday as a day to be enjoyed at your leisure (Monday being the arrival and departure day).
In addition, we will take you on three half-day outings: a morning visit to Fethiye Market to shop for fresh produce, a walk in the rural hills around Mandarin to collect wild herbs, and a visit to a traditional Turkish pancake house in the atmospheric Kaya Valley.
This is a week not to be missed for keen hobby chefs! Contact us for availability and to book.
The October Cooking Class run concurrent with our Photography week, so these are ideal for couples where one wishes to take part in the photography classed and the other in the cookery demonstrations.

Both in Turkey and Greece, winters may be cold and summers hot. On the other hand, you will most probably be visiting archaeological sites with more or less walking difficulties. Hence an adapted outfit is recommended :
Do not forget !
Visiting archaeological site may require good physical conditions and access to people with reduced mobility is not always possible. During visits and stops, the buses will be locked and under the supervision of the driver. Hence, if you wish, you can leave some personal belongings in the bus yet at your own responsibility. If not done at subscription, inform your tour guide as soon as you get on the coach about your specific food requirements so that the restaurant booked for lunch can be informed accordingly in due time.
